Design

The Jeep Wrangler is different from most SUVs. Where others are typically four-door models, the Wrangler can be customized as a four or two-door model. While the two-door model has less space than the four-door, it can comfortably seat five passengers and carry several carry-on cases in their cargo area. Though with the four-door model, the cabin and cargo areas are expanded, offering more legroom and up to 10 cases in the back. Once more, every Wrangler also has detachable doors and a roof to give passengers an open-air feel.

Trims

The Jeep Wrangler has a unique selection of trims. There are trims specific for the two-door model called the Sport and Rubicon. Then there are the trims exclusive for the four-door trims called the Sahara, High Tide, and Rubicon 392.

Plus, there are a selection of sub-trims, each designed after the Sport trim and adding varying degrees of features. These sub-trims include Willys Sport, Sport S, Willys, and Altitude.

Performance

Under the hood of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler, Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls drivers will find several engine options- some unique to specific trims and drivetrains. Base models are powered by a 3.6-liter 285-hp V-6 with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.

Other engine options include:

• Turbocharged 2.0-liter 270 hp four-cylinder (automatic transmission only)
• Turbocharged 3.0-liter 260 hp diesel V6 (Rubicon Far Out only)
• 6.4-liter 470 hp V8 (automatic, four-door Rubicon only)
• 375 hp Plug-in hybrid powertrain

Technology

The technology offered in the Wrangler is dependent on the configuration of the model. As such, base models feature the bare minimum, like air conditioning and power windows. All models will also come with a comprehensive infotainment package.

The infotainment package offers Jeep's Uconnect 5 software run on a 12.3-inch monitor. Apple Car Play and Android Auto are standard, as is an onboard navigation system with over 2,000 mapped trails. There's also active noise cancellation throughout the cabin for those looking for a ride that blocks out exterior noises.

Safety

Regardless of the trim a Barron, WI resident buys, all Wrangler models will offer the same safety features, such as skid plates and fog lights. Thought for more comprehensive features like blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and forward collision mitigation, customers will need to purchase a higher trim.
