Design

At first glance, Eau Claire customers may think the Jeep Compass looks like your standard compact SUV. But the Compass's interior is anything but. Chippewa Falls drivers will find the cabin comfortable and functional, with enough space for four adult passengers. The back seat is also spacious, with high seat bottoms supporting passengers' legs. The cargo area, while not the largest, still has enough space to hold about 17-carryon bags with the rear seats folded down. With the back seats up, however, the cargo space is a tight fit that can hold about five or six bags at most.

Performance

This year, every Compass is powered by a new 200-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four that produces 200 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. The engine is bolted to an eight-speed transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard across the board. With this new engine, the Compass is now capable of towing upwards of 2,000 pounds. And according to the EPA, the new Compass is more fuel efficient than ever before, with an estimated 24 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.

Technology

Trims

There are five unique trims for the Jeep Compass.

Limited: As the most comprehensively equipped trim, the Limited offers windshield wiper de-icer, ambient interior lighting, and parking sensors.

Trail Hawk: This off-road oriented trim is equipped similarly to the Latitude Lux but without remote engine start, heated front seats, or heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. It does offer all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates, and hill descent control.
